What is Unschooling?
… resources to help you explore living and learning without school

Hi! I’m Pam Laricchia, author and long-time unschooling mom from Ontario, Canada.
My three now-adult children left school back in 2002 and I’ve been enthusiastically exploring unschooling ever since. My own unschooling journey has cycled between discomfort, exploration, and discovery, and I’ve written five books and many magazine articles about the fascinating things I’ve learned about unschooling and parenting along the way. I also host the weekly podcast, Exploring Unschooling, with more than 200 episodes in its archive, and I love working directly with unschooling parents in The Living Joyfully Network and through the online Childhood Redefined Unschooling Summit.
You’re welcome to join me as I share the sometimes messy but always valuable learning that has helped me move beyond much of the conventional wisdom around school and parenting and discover the engaged and joyful lifestyle that lies within our reach.
Resource #1: Get your free intro book, What is Unschooling?

Let me help you avoid frustrating missteps by organizing your introduction to the world of unschooling.
You’ll also find answers to many common questions like: What is unschooling? How do children learn without school? Will it work for us? How do I get started?
By the end of the book, you’ll have a much better idea of whether unschooling can work for your family.
You can pick up the book at your favourite online retailer, or click the button below to sign up for my mailing list and get the book directly from me!
Resource #2: Subscribe to the podcast
The weekly Exploring Unschooling podcast is a deep dive into interviews, information, and inspiration on a wide variety of unschooling-related topics.
“This has been by far one of the most fulfilling podcasts I’ve listened to over the last year. As a relatively new unschooler, I learn so much from every episode and have often gone back and re-listened to a handful of my favourites. Funny thing is, I always pick up more when I listen to them a second time. Pam’s voice is comforting and her ideas and perspective are always eye-opening both in unschooling and parenting. I’m so thankful to Pam for creating this podcast. I love it!” ~ iTunes review
There are more than 200 episodes in the archive, filled with unschooling goodness!
