Are you feeling overwhelmed with all the information about unschooling you’re finding on the internet?
Are you finding conflicting information and wondering where to start?
I’d love to help!
I began unschooling my three children in 2002 and I’ve been fascinated with unschooling ever since. I started writing about our experiences in 2004 and in the years since then I’ve enjoyed connecting with people curious about unschooling through writing magazine articles and blog posts, speaking at conferences, hosting a conference for six years, writing books, and most recently, hosting a podcast.
So, how can I help?
First, download my free book, What is Unschooling?
In it, I do my best to introduce you to unschooling in manageable, bite-sized chunks.
I’m not trying to convince you that unschooling is the only way, or that you have to do it “this way” or else.
My goal is to share with you the basic ideas behind unschooling and how they differ from more conventional approaches to learning and parenting. The choice of whether or not unschooling might be a good fit for your family is, of course, up to you!
Next, how do you like to learn?
The top menu of this website is like the library, with curated information gathered around the topics of DESCHOOLING, UNSCHOOLING, and PARENTING.
The second menu slices the information into various formats.
If you enjoy sinking into the depths of a book, you can learn more about my unschooling BOOKS and discover which ones will most connect with you where you are on your journey right now.
Do you like shorter bursts of information to ponder? You might like to check out the BLOG, where I explore a wide array of topics through the lens of unschooling. Or my published ARTICLES.
Maybe you’d enjoy listening in on conversations between experienced unschoolers. If so, I think you’ll enjoy the PODCAST.
If you’d enjoy hearing in-depth stories and insights about unschooling, check out the free TUC TALKS. I hosted the Toronto Unschooling Conference for six years where the speakers so generously shared their unschooling experiences and insights, and allowed me to record their talks for posterity.
I’ve also been sending out a regular newsletter to my mailing list subscribers since October 2012. You’re welcome to check out the NEWSLETTER archive for even more tidbits on life through the lens of unschooling.
And I’m busily working on a detailed unschooling resources page, to connect you with more interesting information out and about in the world.
Best wishes to you and your family on your unschooling journey!
