Work With Pam
If you’ve been around Living Joyfully for a while, you already know me as someone who is open and curious and thinks deeply about how families can live and learn outside of conventional systems like school.
Since 2012, I’ve been using online tech and building systems to manage my Living Joyfully business. Then, a couple of years ago, through a friend of a friend, I started helping another business owner with the online side of their business. I really enjoyed it! Over time, she recommended me to other business owners and soon I had a number of clients.
And through that work I’ve noticed something: the same foundational ideas that help unschooling families thrive (like being open and curious, self-aware, and eager to explore), help transform businesses to better fit the people who run them.
Which brought me full circle, back to my long-time community. Hi!
Now I’m excited to support unschooling families even more broadly. Specifically, those who also run businesses. I understand the unique challenges of weaving a business together with unschooling your kids and would love to help get your business working with you, rather than against you.

System Rescue
One system. Two weeks. Real relief.
Is there a business system you dread using? One that makes you feel vaguely guilty or quietly anxious every time it comes up?
System Rescue is a focused project where we take that system (the clunky one, the overcomplicated one, the one that clearly wasn’t built for how your brain works) and redesign it so it actually fits you. Not the idealized version of you. The real, amazing you who’s here right now.
What’s included:
- A pre-call questionnaire so we arrive at our call ready to go deep
- A 90-minute Zoom session to explore what’s not working, why, and what you’d actually like it to feel like
- A detailed system redesign document with a process you (and your team, if you have one) can follow with more ease and better results
- Support while you test it out and we tweak it together
Investment: $500 USD (+ HST/GST for Canadian clients)
“I am delighted with the new website Pam made for me. It’s all that I had hoped for and more. And my new booking and email broadcast systems are a lovely upgrade, carefully crafted and integrated for me. Pam also created an Operating Manual for me, clearly listing all components and processes so that I have easy access and can continue to build my aptitude with my new systems and website. It’s a pleasure to work and learn with Pam. I highly recommend her services and joyful heart.”

Business Support
Ongoing tech and systems support, so you can focus on the work only you can do.
Some businesses need to rescue more than one system. No shame at all!
Some want a steady, trusted presence who understands the full picture of an online business and can just handle the tech and systems layer. Without needing hand-holding, and without creating more complexity than they solve.
That’s what ongoing support looks like with me.
Depending on what you need, we might work together on a project basis: a few focused hours to get something specific built, launched, or untangled. Or you might want to bring me in as part of your team on a monthly basis, handling the operational side so you can stay in the work only you can do.
The kinds of things I’ve worked on with clients:
websites · mailing lists · welcome sequences · podcasts · courses · online communities · digital products · booking systems · Substack · day-to-day tech and systems management
What does it cost?
For project-based work, I sell prepaid hour blocks:
- 1 hour — $100 USD
- 5 hours — $450 USD ($90/hour)
- 10 hours — $800 USD ($80/hour)
For ongoing monthly support, the retainer is $600 USD/month for 8 hours at the best hourly rate, with additional hours at $80/hour if you need them.
(+ HST/GST for Canadian clients)
If you’re not sure whether your needs overlap with what I do, the discovery call is the right place to start. We’ll talk through what’s going on in your business and figure out whether working together makes sense for us both.

About Pam
I’m the same Pam, just widening my lens.
I spent 20 years unschooling my three kids, which meant building a life, and a business, that genuinely fit how we wanted to live. Not a conventional structure imposed from outside (school or business), but something real and sustainable, built from the inside out.
I’ve always been a systems thinker. I have a degree in Engineering Physics and Commerce, and my brain works in patterns, connections, and underlying structure. That instinct shaped how I understand and practice unschooling, and even though my kids are all adults now, it became a lifestyle I continue to embrace. And, it’s the same instinct I bring to my work with entrepreneurs.
Over more than a decade of running my own online business, I wrote and published books, and built and managed websites, mailing lists, podcasts, courses, communities, and digital products. And I developed the systems that held it all together. All of it in part-time hours while unschooling my kids, because well-designed systems that work for the actual person using them make that possible.
And now, I’m excited to expand that work more intentionally. I’m still deeply involved in the unschooling world, that hasn’t changed. But I’ve also come to see quite a few of the parents who find their way to Living Joyfully to learn more about unschooling, are also navigating the many challenges that come with running a business.
I’d love to explore that with you.
